Things in the Sabelka household have been a bit hectic over the past week or so. Rewind to last weekend...the weather was awesome and we got a lot accomplished: the kids and I went to the movies in Sumner with Cindy and Lexie, Eryn and I cleaned church, and I got caught up on laundry (hardly ever happens with five of us now!). On Sunday we went to church then headed to Decorah to a benefit breakfast for a friend of mine. It was so good to see her:). Then we went to the fish hatchery and saw the HUGE eagle's nest, and then Eryn headed to her last offical Luther PALS event with her friends Alice and Chelsea. They are seniors this year and Eryn will be so sad to see them go! They have been so good to her and helped her get "out of her shell." While Eryn was having a Easter scavenger hunt, the rest of us went to Walmart where Derek graduated into his next car seat... yes already!
So, as you can see the weekend went well.... that is until Sunday night. We could tell that Derek wasn't feeling the best. He had quite a cough, and we decided to see how the night went as to whether or not we would take him into the dr. Needless to say the night didn't go the greatest, and even though he was still smiling, we decided to take him in on Monday. The verdict: Broncholitis. They did a nebulizer treatment in the office then prescribed some albuterol to help with the coughing. Day by day he's been better, but he's also working on some teeth, so I think now that is making him a bit irritable! He also started baby food last night! Apples it was, and I thought for sure he'd make a face I could catch on camera, but he gobbled it up as if he'd been eating it for weeks! Even though he's not been feeling well, he is still such a smiley baby!!
Yesterday Eryn and I went shopping in Roch with Stacy and Jodi. It was a fun day despite it being downright cold and more like December. There was also an EASTER BUNNY sighting at the mall!!
We were tuckered out when we got home last night, but were up and at 'em early this morning (partial thanks to Derek) to get a start on housework and homework.
PS: I am patiently awaiting the arrival of my new neice and nephew! So excited to finally meet them :-)
