Vacation Bible School

Lana helps to coordinate and lead vacation bible school through her church each summer. Last year Eryn was able to participate and had a great time. This year, Nolan was able to particpate as well and both kids really enjoyed it. They learned about Austrailia. On Thursday night, they held a short program for parents with supper afterwards. Nolan really enjoyed getting up to perform! He was the loudest singer and knew most of the words! Eryn continues to be a little shy and chose not to perform, but was Lana's assistant!

"Play Clothes"

The kids really enjoy it when I bring them home "new" clothes from the Thrift Store at work. On this particular day, they thought it would be fun to have a Pajama party. It kept them entertained until supper~

Tired Out...

Another busy summer weekend is in the books! This one started off early on Saturday as Randy went to work and me and the kids ventured to Lawler. My sister Cindy and I ran in the annual 5K event. It was the first time running for both of us (I walked it last year) and we both got first in our age brackets (yes, she is in the younger bracket:). The kids even got to race, and even though Eryn was too shy, she and Nolan recieved medals too! When we got back home, "Uncle" Scrub took the kids for a couple of hours. He took them fishing at Lake Meyer and to play on the playground.

That afternoon Randy and I attended his 15 year class reunion in Ossian. He played a couple rounds of golf (I just watched) and got some sun:) The reunion was fun, and I think Randy had more fun than he would like to admit! (I had to talk him into going) The kids had a GREAT time with Amber and Evan and Jada! Nolan slept until 8:15 this morning, but neither he or Eryn wanted to nap today. So it's early to bed again on a Sunday to get ready for another week!

Fourth of July

This is a picture from a couple of weeks ago; Stacy and Jodi found a great deal on this bike for Nolan and he was pumped to get it! He continues to ride it EVERY day!!! THanks to Aunt Jodi for the helmet:)

This weekend was another busy one! On Friday Eryn and I spent the day shopping with Aunt Cindy. When we got home, Randy and Nolan were getting ready for our 4th of July party the next day. That evening we went to Fort to watch their fireworks. On Saturday we hosted our annual party. It was nice to see everyone and see how our kids have grown!!! We enjoyed more fireworks in Spillville. Today we spent most of the day cleaning up and resting! Two nights of being up late really take a toll on the kids! They are well rested and ready for another week!
