Eryn and Nolan

As I mentioned earlier, this week was not a really good one. Besides what I have already talked about, Eryn came down with a heck of a fever on Thursday night, and is still fighting it today. To top it all off, Nolan came down with a fever after lunch today. I will be glad when we have warmer weather, and less illness! Here are a few pics of the kids I took this week; Nolan and daddy were wrestling and Nolan happened to get caught up in the blanket! And Eryn showed me what she really thought of being sick!!

Week of February 16, 2009

This week was a very busy and very different week. It started out like any other week, but by Tuesday things took a turn. I got a call from mom at work, saying that grandma was not doing well. I rushed up to NH that afternoon to spend some time with her, which I will forever be grateful for. Unfortunately, she lost her battle on Wednesday morning. We love her very much and will miss her dearly. THank you to all of my friends and family for your wonderful support! I will remember it always.

The following is the poem I read at her funeral, which sums up what a wonderful lady she was...

Thank you for the gift of love,
now you're sharing it up above,
You had many things to say,
All in a caring way.
You always saw good in everyone,
No matter what they've done.
You were always the one we could all lean on
Even though it must have felt like a ton.
You were always the strength of the family,
Now we must let you rest calmly.
As we say goodbye,
as tears roll down our eyes,
I know your place in heaven has a good view,
Because you're telling God,
I need to keep an eye on a few.
I know you will always be in our hearts and mind.
So Grandma,
I must go, but I'll never forget you're one of a kind.

I love you Grandma!!

Weekend with Family

This weekend we spent some time with each of our families. On my side we celebrated Cindy and Lacy's birthday's this month. On Randy's side we got together for supper, drinks and some cards. The kids had a great time playing with Landon and his toys! Eryn continues to practice her photography skills, and as you can see she doesn't do too bad!!

Spring time weather...

Today it was really feeling like Spring! The kids and I (and my aunt Shirley) went to NH to see Grandma, and then stopped to see my parents. We had lunch and the kids each rode with Grandpa in the "GREEN" tractor (Grandpa Sam, Nolan is to make sure he tells you that:) With all of the melting snow, both kids took a tumble (at differet times in the day. Eryn managed to tear a hole in her jeans and got a pretty good scrape (but she did not lose the grip on her Valentine's day sucker!). Nolan fell earlier today and got all wet!! The washing machine is not getting a rest today! Earlier in the week Nolan fell and scraped up his nose, so this week has not been good for him!!

Super Bowl

For the Super Bowl this year, we stayed home and enjoyed making homemade pizza. The kids make this every Friday at Lana's so they were eager to make their own cheese pizza. They also thought it would be fun to eat their pizza on Nolan's CARS table, it was cute!

Nolan and his train...

For those of you who don't know... Nolan REALLY likes trains! Daddy helped him set up his track this week, and I think he would watch the trains go for hours (or until the batteries die!) He has even thought of "other" uses for parts of the tracks!

Dress up

This morning, while Daddy and Nolan were napping, Eryn and I did a few "projects." Eryn made some pixie wings, as she is really into the Disney Pixie's now. After that, she thought it would be fun to play "grown up" with some of Mommy's clothes. She is just itching for Nolan to wake up so she can dress him up like Daddy!

Grandma's Birthday

Grandma Carolan celebrated her 55th birthday this past week. To celebrate, the family went to Tel U What for supper on Friday night. I made a cake, and we had a great time! Nolan was cracking everyone up, as his vocabulary is quicky growing! As you can see in some of the pictures, he was anxious to see the result of the picture on the camera and had a hard time sitting still! Eryn wasn't in the picture taking mood, as you can see!
