Another DR. Visit
On Wednesday I got an email from Eryn's teacher, telling me that she had not been feeling well at school. She seemed ok on Wednesday night, and by Thursday morning she was running a fever. I took her into the dr. and to my surprise :) she has Strep (Again!) She is so used to going to the Dr. now she knows they do a rapid culture, and she just hates it when they swab her throat. She as a good sport though, and next month we will see the ENT from LaCrosse to see what the next step is with her having all of these strep infections!
Cabin Fever

Ok, we all know that winter is dragging on, and we are anticipating spring, and I think the kids can feel it too. It's been too cold to go outside and play in the snow, so Eryn has resorted to getting her brother to play dress up with her. Now, I am sure in the future Nolan (and his Dad) will really appreciate that I have posted these photos. Anyway, it is good for a laugh... and we continue to count down the days until spring!!
Hackman Christmas

January 17th was Hackman Christmas at Dale and Bonnie's. It was great to see everyone. The kids really enjoyed playing with Randy's cousins, and their kids as well. Nolan especially enjoyed the truck that Mike won for him playing BINGO. As you can see, he was taking some lessons from his great uncle Dale on how to operate it!

Happy New Year!

Well, New Year's this year is definitely bittersweet... On New Year's eve we went to my bothers to play a little Wii.... it was the first time I ever played it and it was really fun!! I did happen to beat both Chris and Lacy in boxing!! (My arms are a little sore, but it was worth it!). It was nice to get together with everyone!
My dad is a New Year's baby, so we celebrated his birthday yesterday with a family brunch. As tradition holds, I made Dad a birthday cake. We all enjoyed each other's company, and the kids enjoyed spending some time with Grandma and Grandpa.
FAMILY UPDATES
Grandma has returned to New Hampton to the Care Center after being in Rochester for approximately 3 weeks. Eryn and I went to visit her earlier this week. She was very tired, but did open her eyes for a short time while we were there. We continue to pray for her recovery. We love you very much Grandma!!
This week I also received a heartwarming letter from my cousin Paul in Iraq. It was very nice to hear from him. It is hard for him not to be here when our family is going through so much. We think of him often and he is in our prayers!! We look forward to his safe return home!!

In Memory of...

Last Sunday we sadly got news that my uncle Paul had unexpectedly passed away. It has been a very difficult time for my family, and we will never forget Paul's crazy sense of humor and jokes. He will be missed by many. Our deepest sympathies to Shirley and Roxy. He will forever be in our memories...
